TODAY’S ASPECTS:

The Moon’s in Gemini now, so we’re out of the Void Zone (finally). However, we’re still in that Balsamic phase just before a New Moon (tomorrow at 11:56 AM EDT), so for that reason, plus a few others, it’s probably best to use today as a catch-up, loose-ends, finish it kind of day. With the Sun and Moon both in Gemini, it’s already a multi-layered day. Today may shimmer like a prism, presenting different faces, all fascinating. It may be hard to determine which are real and which are projections or illusions.  Sometimes two-faced can mean two facets, other times it can mean there’s trickery afoot.

Venus moves to form a Grand Trine with Neptune and Saturn, so we’re in an idealistic place and are very willing to cooperate with others or help those in need.  The Moon conjuncts Mars at 9:45 AM EDT, and we’re hot to get moving, but it also squares Neptune, so we need to be careful about what we fling ourselves into. Make sure you’re not being led into quicksand. Other people’s motives may not be what they’re leading you to believe.  At 10:44 AM EDT we may hit an emotional roadblock as the Moon inconjuncts Saturn; distract yourself by focusing on work.  Today it will be very easy to drift or get waylaid; it may be difficult to stay focused.

Mercury opposes Pluto at 6:03 PM EDT, followed by Mars square Neptune at 7:57 PM EDT and the Moon inconjunct Pluto at 9:29 PM. Everyone’s very intense and insistent about something but the pieces don’t really fit together, and it can leave you scratching your head. This batch of aspects can bring latent anger to the surface (plus a lot of passive-aggressive behavior). In other words, people who can’t work with today’s energies properly will be running around with their heads up their collective asses! The Teflon coating is up as everybody insists they don’t understand what you’re talking about, because they didn’t say or do anything unseemly, and you’re a meanie for even wondering what’s going on. Avoid any suspicious characters, insincere types, and control freaks who may be lurking around.  Don’t get drawn into their paradigm—it’s a hall of mirrors!

Make sure to take some time to relax today; nab yourself some “down time”. Creative activities are favored, and whatever is produced today will probably have a romantic and otherworldly feel. Commune with other congenial souls and include anyone who’s in need of some TLC. It’s also a good day for contributing to or volunteering for your favorite charitable group. At 11:33 PM EDT, the Moon sextiles Uranus. Late evening  brings on a batch of wild-eyed inspiration to zap your brain. It’s not exactly helpful if you’re trying to sleep, though. Try something new, stretch the boundaries.  You’ll probably come up with more than a few good ideas that you can implement in the future. It’s good to have a few options available for use after tomorrow’s New Moon in Gemini (Gemini likes juggling and also likes to have an escape route in place, if necessary!)

THE SYMBOLS:

Sabian Symbol for today’s SUN: “ Two Chinese men talking Chinese .”

Kozminsky Symbol for today’s SUN: “ An eagle wounded in flight swoops to a mountain ridge, where a brood of young ones rise from the drops of blood.”

The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is: “DIFFERENCE.”

The Keyword for the Kozminsky Symbol is: “INVULNERABILITY.”

Today’s Sabian Symbol relates to communication and language, quite appropriate for a day where both the Sun and Moon are in the sign of Gemini. This Symbol relates to being unique, standing out from the crowd, or being known as a specialist in some area. This Symbol has two levels, as the two men talking understand each other perfectly, while those around them, not knowing Chinese, are left out of the conversation. It can mean that others find it hard to decipher us, as we seem to be speaking in a foreign language. It calls attention to patterns and styles of communication. It draws on the today’s Water Grand Trine theme of finding others with whom you resonate or feel comfortable with, people you can open your heart to. This Symbol tells us we need to find groups or relationships that honor who we are, rather than trying to squeeze ourselves into situations that we’re not comfortable with. The down side of this symbol is not being honest about who you really are or trying to be someone else, which mirrors some of our shadow-and-fog Neptune aspects today. We cause ourselves problems when we continually throw ourselves into inappropriate or confusing situations, then wonder why things haven’t worked out.

The Kozminsky Symbol is one of power besieged. The Symbol is connected with Jupiter, ruler of the gods (and traditional or co-ruler of Pisces, where Neptune and the asteroid Chiron are currently located). The mountaintop locale brings to mind the home of the gods, and the Chiron connected brings in the “wounded” imagery, and also the idea that understanding our shadow areas will ultimately be the source of our greatest strength.(The wounded eagle raises the next generation from the drops of blood that flow from the wound.  There’s sacrifice here (think Hanged Man, the Neptune card), for an ideal (mountain ridge), or for future generations (the baby eagles). It also relates to sticking your neck out for what you believe, even if it makes you a target.

THE  DAILY DRAW:

8 of Wands / Knight of Pentacles

“Regenerative Journey”. Both of these cards relate to travel, movement, and peaceful, protected journeys. We “get the message” in the 8 of Wands, and this kickstarts us into action. We’re being guided towards our goal. This combination is about healing and establishing new patterns, and it may take some time to adjust to the new rhythm. We may face delays, but after that, we move. We’re feeling secure about our decision and are ready to manifest something new. There’s a sense of returning to the source.

On some level, it’s harvest time, where we reap what we’ve sown and grow in maturity. Creativity is enhanced and we can “make things real” now. This can also indicate the Virgo time period from the end of August through mid September. We may find this may relate to a significant trip which which we later see as an important marker or turning point in our lives.
