TODAY’S ASPECTS:

The Moon’s in Pisces today, and it conjuncts Neptune (the ruler of Pisces) at 2:06 AM EST, which sets the tone and establishes the theme for the day, which may well be, “We’re off to see the Wizard!” That yellow brick road is certainly beckoning– and we’re oh-so-open to its allure.  Neptune/Pisces energies make us permeable. We’re vibrating to a cosmic rhythm. Boundaries vanish, and we pick up information seemingly by osmosis. We’re able to understand what others are going through without any need for an explanation. Strong feelings of compassion motivate us, so it’s a good day for charity work, making donations, or sitting with those who have been wounded  in some way (today’s also Veterans’ Day here in the US).  With the Moon sesquiquadrate Jupiter in Cancer, feelings may whoosh up and overwhelm us, particularly if it involves our family or situations that sizzle with a strong emotional charge. Don’t get washed out to sea; practice detachment in order to understand the patterns behind what’s happening. The Moon sextiles Venus in Capricorn at 7:48 AM EST, so practical concern combines with sympathy and we’re ready to reach out to others to help them get through the day.

A Moon/Uranus semi-sextile at 1:32 PM EST would be good for a lunch break or time out. Switch gears, get moving, or do something completely different in order to prime the creative pump.  Nipping on the heels of the Moon/Uranus connection is a Moon/Chiron conjunction in Pisces at  1:34 PM EST, so this weird interlude  may be a healing detour in disguise.  The Moon then sextiles Pluto at 2:30 PM EST, so throw your energy into something you’re a little obsessed with; an intense focus will make it all come alive. Mercury trines Neptune at 3:46 PM EST–pay attention and you’ll hear the music of the spheres. This aspect also occurred on Saturday afternoon, when Mercury was still retrograde, so it’s like a repeating theme or a chorus in a song. What’s the message?  Charming or beguiling communications hint at deeper truths.

The Moon contraparallels Uranus at 6:59 PM EST; jitters and jive, inexplicable outbursts and mood shifts are the “abnormal norm” here. Things should stabilize by 11:45 PM EST, when the Moon trines Saturn, a “solid citizen” aspect.  Be the voice of reason and reassurance (since the Moon’s in Pisces and Saturn’s in Scorpio, be the old wise wizard)! Take care of your responsibilities before retiring for the evening and you’ll rest easy.

 THE SYMBOLS:

Sabian Symbol for today’s SUN:  ” A woman drawing two dark curtains aside.”

Kozminsky Symbol for today’s SUN:   A handsome boy, climbing up a ladder, looking upwards to the heavens.”  (Influence is:MERCURY.)

The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is:  “DARING.”

The Keyword for the Kozminsky Symbol is: “DETERMINATION.”

The Kozminsky Symbol is a perfect illustration of today’s Mercury/Neptune trine with a dash of today’s final aspect, Moon trine Saturn. Kozminsky says the boy has a “magnetic personality” (he’s good-looking, too, and that can’t hurt), paired with an “indomitable mind” (Mercury in Scorpio). He’s climbing with a goal in mind, and will persist despite obstacles (that’s the Saturn in Scorpio part--a combo that will plow through Hades and back, if necessary). Kozminsky says “He brings to others pleasure and help”, which keys into today’s Moon in Pisces empathetic spirit and willingness to sacrifice in order to make others happy. This is a “dare to dream” or “sky’s the limit” symbol. What do you aspire to? How hard are you willing to work to reach your goal?  Who’s the “fair-haired boy?”  It’s time to look forward and leave the past behind. Ascending a ladder imagery also pertains to spiritual development and mastery, climbing a rung at a time as we learn our lessons.

The Sabian Symbol is also perfect for our Neptune and Pisces-fest today, as the drawing of the curtains suggests revelation, psychic abilities, and “letting the light in” to illuminate a situation. It’s about not being afraid of the dark, being willing to confront whatever is behind the curtains (very Scorpionic). Here’s where secrets are revealed, mysteries unveiled, or we face something that we’ve been refusing to look at for a long time.  It can relate to confrontation, discovering something, or releasing something from the darkness. Investigation, research, discovery and digging deep are also emphasized. On the down side it can be like a mountebank pulling a neat trick on the stage. Or maybe we’re sticking our noses somewhere we shouldn’t. Someone may be a bit too interested in our private business. Maybe it’s the “TMI” problem, like those people whose status updates on Facebook or Twitter make you cringe in embarrassment.  Are you ready to open Pandora’s box?

THE DAILY DRAW

7 of Cups / Devil

292

So, maybe there’s too much of a good thing going on here?  Got some destructive fantasies whirring in the brain? Addictive behavior, anyone? Sometimes not making a choice is as bad as making the wrong one. If we make a choice, then we have to live with the ramifications of that decision. Emotional blocks sabotage progress. This combination can indicate a very deep form of self-sabotage that’s often unconscious. We’re controlled by irrational forces, operating as a puppet on a string. Here’s where we’re obsessed and can’t see beyond our own desires. If we con’t make a choice we’ll just sit and stagnate, no progress will be made. Devotion to unhealthy obsessions. Sexual slavery or addiction. Something needs to be brought to light (see the Sabian Symbol, above). Drowning our shame or self-hatred in excess. Fear of change.  Choosing to be a scapegoat or the focus of someone else’s projections. The 7 of Cups relates to the Moon in Scorpio and the Devil connects with Capricorn, so this combination tells us it’s time to get to the root of the problem. There are also 7 Deadly Sins, aren’t there?  The Not-So-Lucky Seven. A fearless exploration of our complexes, hang-ups and blockages is necessary now. Shine a light in the darkness. It may be easier to access and unleash this material through music, art, film, literature,  or other creative activities. Let it out, write it down, explore myths both ancient and modern. Other people may not be aware of what’s going on, and may not understand that sometimes you have to crawl through the darkness to find the light. Don’t lose your sense of humor–this combination can also show a keen satirical sensibility with a great understanding for the weaknesses and foibles of humanity.
