TODAY’S ASPECTS:

I dragged myself out of bed at 6 AM EDT today, but it’s hours later and my brain is just now (sort of) waking up. So goes this split-personality day that begins with the Moon in Pisces. The Moon in Pisces conjunct Mercury in Pisces at 12:10 AM EDT engenders a serious case of fuzzbrain as well as ushering in another Void-of-Course Moon period, so it’s a double whammy Twilight Zone Day today!  Once you gain full consciousness, play catch-up early today and finish whatever may have been left dangling from last week. A Sun/Venus parallel reminds us to focus on what we love. Find creative solutions, cooperate with others, and act from the heart. We may face a choice between doing what we love most and doing what others want us to do—aim for balance.

The Moon blasts into Aries at 3:02 PM EDT, so we’re back on the tilt-a-whirl. Around 3 PM EDT, you may find the day goes into overdrive, as everyone slams into super-rush/do it NOW mode.  The Sun connects with Ceres at 6:18 PM EDT, so channel some of that crazy-ass energy into start-ups, creative projects, crafts or work that involves a personal touch. Get tinkering; visualize with some useful invention that will feed humanity for the next thousand years.

By the end of the day, the Void Moon plus a Sun/Neptune aspect can make us feel like the gas has been siphoned from our tank.  Since the Sun/Neptune zinger occurs around midnight EDT, call it day and venture into Snoozeland. You’ll probably have some very strange dreams, but pay attention to whatever stands out or seems to have extra energy around it. We’re gearing up to an Aries New Moon (Wednesday, April 10) and Pluto is set to turn retrograde  (Friday, April 12), so by the end of the week, we’ll be turning our intent, laser-like focus on the exploration of inner realms.

THE SYMBOLS:

Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun:  “The magic carpet.”

Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “A harp resting against an altar, from which a volume of smoke arises.”

The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is: “PANORAMA.”

The Keyword for the Kozminsky Symbol is: “CONSECRATION.”

“Magical action.”  Both of today’s Symbols relate to the combination of Aries energy with the Moon in Pisces (early today) and the Sun/Neptune aspect (very late today). The Kozminsky Symbol brings to mind incense rising to the clouds as an offering to the gods (altar). The harp relates to art, music, poetry, and beauty (The Sun and Venus are parallel today). I see this image as related to “the music of the spheres” which gives us the ability to rise above daily problems and reach for the stars. We’re using our abilities in the service of a higher cause (hence the keyword image of consecrating yourself to the gods).

Kozminsky says that this Symbol depicts someone “whose prayers are unselfish, thoughtful and sincere.”  It relates to devotion and dedicating yourself to a cause. This can indicate a spiritual warrior ( a combination of the attributes of the Aries planets and the Pisces/Neptune influences), who fights to keep the peace and defend others (Sun parallel Venus).

The Sabian Symbol brings in the element of magic or fantasy that propels our imagination to new places and gives us a broader view. We may feel a bit detached from everyday reality today as we’re prone to daydreaming and immersing ourselves in creative imaginings (the Moon in Pisces, Void-of-Course Moon and the Sun/Neptune connection).

This is an image of creative visualization, to be able to see what we want and then manifest it. The Aries energy today pushes us to do something about our visions (get on that magic carpet!) rather than remain in la-la-land forever. This is a “make a wish” symbol. Accent the positive. Play a game with yourself. Imagine the things you would do if you had absolutely no restrictions, responsibilities or obligations. What would you choose to do, or be? What actions would you take?

The down side of this Symbol is in being too detached or spending too much time in escape mode (spending too much time on the computer, or drinking/eating, smoking, daydreaming or sleeping too much) as a means of removing yourself from the world. The goal today is to aim well and rise high, like the smoke in the Kozminsky Symbol and the magic carpet in the Sabian Symbol.  Channel your energies creatively and dreams can become a reality.

THE  DAILY DRAW:

The Empress / 4 of Swords

“Nurture Yourself”.   Here’s our Sun/Venus parallel (Venus is connected to the Empress), plus the 4 of Swords. Both cards are somewhat self-contained. There’s always a waiting period before a child is born—it generally takes nine months. These two cards tell us there’s something that needs to be nurtured within ourselves that needs time, rest and care in which to grow. Some of us may spend so much time as caretakers for others that we forget to take care of ourselves. These two cards tell us to take concrete actions to remedy that. We need to recharge, relax and retreat. We’re closing the door on one era of our life, ready to enter another. Address any physical problems or blockages; it’s a good time for meditation, reiki, physical therapy, massage, or any other form of healing modality you feel impelled to try.

One risk here is stagnation or becoming isolated or “frozen” in place. Work on being flexible. Don’t allow unhealthy patterns to crystallize; it will only make it harder to get around when you re-emerge.
