The Daily Astro for September 27, 2012
The energy of late last night (the Moon entering Pisces and hooking up with Pisces’ ruler Neptune) may still be casting a lovely fog over the proceedings as we begin the day, but we’re sure to be jarred out of our dream world by Venus in Leo square Mars in Scorpio riding shotgun with a Sun/Uranus aspect. This isn’t the best time to issue ultimatums or fly off the handle. These aspects can indicate “road rage” patterns of behavior–and you don’t have to be in a car to experience the jolt! The central problem is we’re frustrated with the way things are, our lack of progress, or other people’s inability to budge. We want change, but aren’t sure how to manifest it. Temper tantrums and angry outbursts manifest, and suspicious minds ooze and fester under these aspects if not dealt with appropriately. I’ve been seeing many reports of uncharacteristically aggressive behavior in the press already, and we’re still a few days off from the Aries Full Moon! So how can we change this pattern? Take a look at the aspects for the rest of the day. The Moon in Pisces aspects the Sun, Chiron and Pluto, reminding us that all true change begins from within, from transforming and healing the rifts deep inside. Don’t throw yourself into the fray today, take a time out even when tempted to rumble, and reorient yourself. Examine your priorities, your habits, and where you’re wounded and refuse to heal. Trying to force things by manipulating external situations is not going to work today.
Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “A man teaching the true inner knowledge.”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “A naked arm and hand, from which blood is flowing. Above, a sword.”
Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is: ‘Affinity.”
The Keyword for the Kozminsky Symbol is “ Encroachment.”
Today’s Symbols and today’s astrological aspects tie in nicely. The Kozminsky Symbol, featuring a bloody arm with a sword looming nearby, illustrates the bold and fearless nature of the planet Mars in Scorpio. Sometimes we have to withstand challenges, fight for what we believe in, and be willing to risk injury and harm for a higher cause. It’s the call to adventure, the price of glory–and it has both pitfalls and rewards. Today’s Sabian Symbol relates to healing aspects that flow in around mid-day today. Teaching others what you have learned in your quest requires an ability to interact, to cooperate and to gather with others in a harmonious way. This involves transmitting spiritual or esoteric knowledge, as befits the Moon in Pisces aspecting the Sun, Chiron and Pluto–it’s transformative, regenerative information. Becoming enlightened is the goal here, and passing on what we’ve learned, in a spirit of true generosity, is essential. Both Symbols also warn against trying too hard to persuade others that ours is the “right” way, whether through physical force or intellectual bullying. Our own enthusiasm may blind us to the effect our actions and words have on others. The key is to make sure your thoughts and words are congruent with your behavior and actions.

Today’s Card Draw:
I’m choosing another of Michael Eastwood’s Crystal Oversouls cards this week.
Today’s card is: SAPPHIRE.
Eastwood’s keyword for this card is ”Inner Master.”
Today’s card ties directly into the Sabian Symbol of the Master Teacher (see above). Its deep blue color relates to the transmission of eternal wisdom and emphasizes the throat chakra. Eastwood says it can help guide us within to find our “inner master and guide. Once this relationship is established we can develop a sense of direction and purpose.” (This calls to mind in the Kozminsky Symbol, one of action and movement).
This inner master mediates between the conscious mind and the soul. Eastwood points out that in order to truly hear this inner voice, skill development is necessary. We need to learn to be still and quite and stay in a meditative state to take us to deeper levels. At that point we will see “the realms of possibilities that are open to us. We will become the conduit for powerful creative forces to flow through us. This force will desire expression in the world around us”.
The ability to channel this information, to clear the mind and connect directly with the source will free us to move forward in an intelligent and inspired manner.
