The Moon is in Capricorn today.

The Daily Astro for May 9, 2012

The Moon is in Capricorn today, and Mercury entered Taurus at 1:14 AM EDT, making this one of those days where, in general, we need to focus on getting things done in a measured and practical way. Early in the day we might be drawn away from our tasks due to aspects between the Moon and Neptune and Uranus (daydreaming and distraction rule!), but the Moon/Mars aspect should galvanize us to action, if we don’t use it to fight with people who disagree with us, of course. There’s a Sun/Jupiter aspect beaming its beneficial rays on us and helping us expand the horizons of possibility. One caveat: there are a few stressful aspects today as well, and the Moon in Capricorn unites with Pluto later in the day, so remember that other people aren’t always obsessing about the same things you are and don’t view the world in the same way. This aspect is good for getting to the root causes of things and understanding the deep/dark nature of our fears and desires. Be aware of the boundaries between yourself and others and be careful not to project motives or intent on others!

Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “ Wind clouds and haste .”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “A flight of white eagles.”

The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is “Exaltation ” and for the Kozminsky Symbol it’s “ Celebrity ”.

The Kozminsky Symbol relates to the Moon/Jupiter aspect noted above in its emphasis on far-seeing optimism and rising above the fray in order to see the larger picture. It’s a striking spectacle, this group of eagles ( white = spirituality). The eagle is also one of the totems for the courage found in the higher manifestations of Scorpio–ruled by Pluto, which is conjunct the Moon today).   The Sabian Symbol is one that can be considered a reverse symbol, showing a confusing, changeable situation that is made worse by rushing or trying to do everything at once. It’s also diametrically opposite to our Moon in Capricorn/Mercury in Taurus combination , which urges us to focus on getting things done in a methodical, practical way today.

Tarot Enhancer/Antidote: 6 of Pentacles/Queen of Wands

Motto for today: “Be generous with all your heart.”  The 6 of Pentacles reiterates our earthy Taurus/Capricorn theme, as it is correlated with Mercury in Taurus, and  Mercury just entered Taurus today. The Queen of Wands, a fire card, urges us to throw our energy into whatever we do in order to manifest our highest goals. It’s a good combination of warm heart and skilled hands, to visualize what we want and then bring it into being. There’s a little luck with this combination too, of getting what we need just at the time that we need it and being able to inspire others in need as well.
