The Daily Astro for May 10, 2012

The Moon remains in Capricorn today, making a genial trine to the Sun and Jupiter in Taurus, putting us in the mood to get things done, make dreams a reality and follow through on our plans in a determined, step-by-step way. We may be so sure we’re right that we may not realize that some adjustments have to be made when dealing with other people, as the Moon later forms stress aspects with Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Libra. Clear communication with others is key here–sit down and explain what’s going on and cooperation will be more likely that if you try to plow ahead without consulting anyone else. Later in the day, Mercury in Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces, bringing a little bit of practical magic to the scene and stimulating our desire to visualize and create something that serves a purpose and is also beautiful. Remember William Morris’ advice: “If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “A finger pointing in an open book .”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “A race-horse with the number 3 on his saddle-cloth entering a course.”

The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is “Confirmation”, and for the Kozminsky Symbol it’s “Sportiveness”.

The Sabian Symbol can be read in more than one way–it can be seen as being told to “do it by the book”,which ties into one part of the astrological equation noted above. Getting things done the right way, the old-fashioned way, the way others have done it in order to succeed, follows with the Taurus/Capricorn playbook. But there’s also an element of divine guidance here, of being shown that you’re moving in the right direction (that’s where the “confirmation” comes in). This brings in the Jupiter trine (Jupiter is associated with the higher mind, inspiration, and prophecy) and the Mercury/Neptune sextile, which can literally mean the mind directly connecting with spirit, or forms of clairaudience, where you ‘hear’ messages with your inner ear. The Kozminsky Symbol, a race horse, again relates to Jupiter (large animals, horses, racing/gambling are in the Sagittarius zone, and Jupiter rules Sagittarius). The number 3 brings in the idea of nimbleness, of moving fast and appealing to others through skills, talent and charm–of attracting others to you because of your energetic, positive characteristics. This Symbol points to the way we should channel our energies today. Being flexible, seeing possibilities, engaging with others in a friendly way get us to the finish line much faster than being stubborn or refusing to weave in and out of the “daily dance”.

Tarot Enhancer/Antidote: King of Cups/ 2 of Cups
A watery pair, today. The two of Cups correlates to the Moon in Cancer. The Moon is the ruler of Cancer and feels quite at home. These two are dialoguing about healing relationships, opening up emotionally and trying to reconnect with the feelings both parties felt at the beginning of the relationship. This combo also means that trust issues will undoubtedly come up to be dealt with, and any history of emotional manipulation or feelings of unease or discomfort need to be addressed as well in order for the relationship to continue in a healthy way.
