The Moon is in Virgo all day today; Mercury turns direct.

The Daily Astro for April 4, 2012

The Moon remains in Virgo today so we may be focused on work, details or day-to-day operations. Mercury is now direct, but the “hangover” from the retrograde will likely last until April 16. Since Mercury is in Pisces, expect to hear news relating to past conditions involving the ocean, oil spills, or anything relating to water, oil, pharmaceuticals, the ocean, especially things that may have been hidden or covered up in the past. The Moon trines Jupiter, elevating our spirits, but since this is an Earth sign trine, apply this buoyant energy to practical ends and you can achieve quite a bit, but it’s still better to work on “finishing up” things that have been left dangling rather than jump into something totally new. The Sun and Moon aren’t communicating on all cylinders today (Moon in Virgo quincunx Sun in Aries) so as the day wears on, we may feel we’re being held back by small things that nag at us, but hopefully the Jupiter/Neptune aspect also in force will elevate our thoughts and help us imagine the highest and best!

Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “ Brownies dancing in the setting sun.”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “Wild flowers growing amidst the corn in a sunlit field.”
The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is “Invigoration ” and for the Kozminsky Symbol it’s “Abundance”.

The common denominator with these two images is nature. Both emphasize the beauty and mystery of the natural world, of all things that grow and prosper under the sun (notice the sun is setting in the Sabian Symbol and proving heat for growing corn in the Kozminsky Symbol. They both also deal with cycles and their beginnings and endings (the setting sun, flowers and corn growing in the warmer months of the year). These symbols also point to the importance of realizing when a cycle has begun, and when it approaches its end, and of acting in accordance with natural rhythms (the brownies are dancing). There’s an implicit warning here to not let things become stagnant, or remain past their time. Intuition, vitality, and a feeling of freedom are also present in both these Symbols.

Tarot Enhancer/Antidote: Lovers/3 of Wands
This combination is a “young” one–the Lovers relates to Gemini and the 3 of Wands correlates to the Sun in Aries, so it’s fire and air (compatible elements), and it’s all happening between the end of March and mid-June. This combo can indicate fruitful new partnerships, the beginnings of a relationship, offers being made, or indicate things that are just getting started. Since new starts can sometimes be fragile, and some imaginings can evaporate suddenly under real-world scrutiny, remember that some things are temporary–they may not last long-term but may come into your life to point you in the direction you need to follow.
