TODAY’S ASTRO:

Well, Foggus Maximus continues today in lovely New York City as the Moon enters Pisces at 5:49 AM EST. Traffic slows (watch out for accidents–people really can’t see what’s ahead of them!)  Today’s Neptune/Pisces theme is mystery, obfuscation, general mistiness, getting lost in the ozone, and creating a doozy of wooziness in general. This is superamplified as the Moon (in Pisces, remember?) conjuncts Neptune (ruler of Pisces)  in Pisces at 8:20 AM EST. If you’re a later riser, be sure to write down any dreams or dream fragments that emerge from the swamp of images overflowing through the subconscious.

If that’s not enough, Venus forms an adjustment aspect to Jupiter in Gemini, then the Moon conjuncts Chiron in Pisces and squares Jupiter in Gemini; this last aspect occurs at 5:26 PM EST. We have all the makings of a Douglas Sirk film here, lads-‘n-lassies! Drama, delusion, oceans of emotion, identity confusion, super-saturated experiences, a real “imitation of life”.  There’s a definite“hazy shade of winter” happening today (with all this Pisces and Neptune energy, I just HAVE to toss in film and music references). Don’t believe everything you see or hear, the smoke and mirrors crowd is scurrying around stealthily today. Glib talkers, shiny objects waved in your face, promises of things that are too good to be true, appeals to or overuse of the martyr modality–it’s a kaleidoscope of evanescence!  And high-level emoting worthy of an Academy Award!  Don’t promise too much or overestimate what you can get done in a given time span. Everybody’s feeling everything to the max, and too much is never enough in this environment.

Later in the day, after the fog lifts, creative types may find today’s miasma(s) may have opened the doors to something strikingly new. Mercury connects with Saturn at 1:27 PM EST, then hooks up with Uranus, first stabilizing our thought patterns (Saturn), then making it easier for us to translate all those intuitive zaps we’ve been channeling all day into the language of the future (Uranus).

And don’t forget to use that onrush of crazy compassion that floods in today to help those less fortunate; when the heart opens, great things can be accomplished, especially when the Moon in Pisces sextiles Pluto in Capricorn. Go do something good for somebody. It doesn’t have to be huge or dramatic to change a life.

Wow, our Symbols today really have a Neptune/Pisces/12th house flavor. The Sabian Symbol, with the image of a woman entering a convent, has a 12th house (confinement, concealment, mystery, the sacred) tinge for sure, as does the Keyword, “Consecration”, or wedding oneself to spirit.

The Kozminsky Symbol has the big ol’ hand of a higher power protecting a woman from harm; it’s a symbol of faith and protection, of being “favored by the gods”. This image reminds me of having Jupiter (co-ruler of Pisces) in the Pisces (12th);  the feel is of someone who has a guardian angel or protective spirit on their side who guides and protects them in times of need. Both images suggest being spiritually guided to the proper path and taking no heed of any obstacles in the way. There’s an element of being chosen here, of destiny. Take a look at what happens today and focus on anything that seems unusual, Pay attention to omens, signs, synchronicities and symbols. What’s the message that is being conveyed? If you can, take some time to be alone, meditate, sit and think, and quiet the mind. Take note of what washes in when external barriers are removed.

 

THE DAILY DRAW:

ACE OF WANDS/QUEEN OF CUPS

The Water Queen is a very appropriate card to turn up for a Moon in Pisces day. Psychic abilities are going full steam (fire + water), and we’re illuminated from within like a stained-glass window. There’s a great deal under the surface that is going to bubble up today. This combo tells us it’s time to unleash the power of our creative soul in order to start something new. We may feel compelled to let loose on some level. Issues relating to jealousy and establishing the parameters of emotional/sexual relationships may arise–it’s time to deal with the problems rather than avoiding important issues. Healing is available right now. What’s most strongly attracting you–what do you most desire or burn for? Walk that way.
