The Daily Astro for July 30, 2012

The Moon enters Capricorn at 3:29 AM EDT. Early this AM (3:09 AM EDT), the Sun and Pluto connect in an “adjustment” aspect, so we may have had some intense and possibly disturbing dreams featuring things blowing up, being transformed, or full of scary monsters & creatures from the id, especially since the next aspect, Moon sextile Neptune, finds us receptive to dreamtime imagery. Most of the aspects for the rest of the day call for us to adjust our plans in response to constantly changing situations. We can feel on edge, as though the ground is shifting beneath our feet and we can’t predict how anyone will respond (since the Moon is in Capricorn, we’d really like more stability, routine and order, but that ain’t happening today!) As we move towards Tuesday, the Sun trines Uranus (1:21 AM EDT) and opens the floodgates to new ideas, inventive workarounds, flashes of insight, and all things creative, offbeat, bizarre, and unexpected.

The Sabian Symbol, relating to the Bolshevik revolution in Russia, fits in well with the Sun/Uranus aspect and the Moon/Uranus and Sun and Moon to Pluto aspects today. The desire for change and the overthrow of a system that’s not working, the idea of revolution, is associated with Uranus, and the anger bubbling up in the masses that leads to the destruction of a previous regime can be associated with the Moon (masses/group consciousness) aspect to Pluto (Pluto always transforms whatever it comes in contact with). I also like the keyword of “leaven”–adding something to a mixture that adds carbon dioxide and causes a bubbling reaction; it’s an excellent word to describe the way new ideas can transform society.  The Kozminsky Symbol for today seems quite Neptune/Venus in nature, it’s suffused with images related to love, beauty and poetry. It could be considered almost an antidote for the Sabian Symbol and some of today’s astrological aspects.  It reminds us to add a touch of grace to our lives and to look for the beauty in all things, even when it’s it’s difficult or when we’re having a stressed-to-the-max day.
