The Moon remains in Taurus today. The big news today is Uranus going retrograde at 8+ degrees Aries. Those of you with planets or chart placements/angles around this degree in Aries or in the other cardinal signs (Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn) will get a bigger jolt from this shift. Uranus is considered the higher octave of Mercury, which is also going retrograde in a fire sign (Leo) tomorrow. What this means is there will be a process of re-thinking, renewing, or remaking all things related to Uranus and Mercury, which immediately brings to mind groups or societies and communications within those groups, mass media, technology, the internet, travel (especially by plane), anything new, modern, or unique, revolutionary ideas, anything that occurs in “bursts” or outbreaks/outbursts/waves, temporary glitches in connections, and “A-ha!” moments of all kinds. We are opening ourselves to revelations but for the moment this is internalized, as we learn to work with the energy. It also opens the door to “happy accidents”—those times when you don’t get what you want, but what you do get winds up taking you where you need to be. With Mercury and Uranus retrograde, “psychic talk” is enhanced—if you’re getting messages, pay attention! Also expect odd weather, travel weirdness, mechanical and communication breakdowns and re-establishments, and a certain amount of chaos which may or may not bust things wide open (yet). Unrest among oppressed groups may increase (Aries/Leo brings up passion related to independence and sovereignty and a need to be free.) For today, it’s a bit of a balancing act. People are antsy and may feel the need to let off steam; it’s another day where power and control issues come to the fore and may interfere with progress as we have to stop and deal with people overdoing it one way or another. Being able to adapt to circumstances as they arise and to maintain perspective is very important.
Tomorrow brings Mercury retrograde at 8:26 AM EDT, with the Moon in Gemini. This ushers in a double blast of Mercury energy, as Mercury is the ruler of Gemini. We probably want to talk and talk, but nobody really is listening, or else we just confuse or confound them, so not much will be retained. The best time period is from 5:42 PM EDT through about 9:00 PM, when we get a pleasant energy boost and people will be feeling more upbeat. After 11PM EDT Saturday, there are several aspects that will no doubt make you wish you’d gone to bed early rather than hanging out with people trying to make yourself understood. They’re not listening, are annoyed in general, and will resist or carp at you rather than cooperate. I’d opt for a nice snooze instead!

The Kozminsky Symbol seems to be particularly oracular-ish today with Uranus turning retrograde (see above). It could be we’ll hear of some well-known or well-established “king” type falling from grace, losing power, or being overthrown. This fits well with the Uranian process of rebellion and revolution, providing the energy that helps take down rulers who are no longer operating for the good of the whole—the message is that those who abuse power may find themselves extinct—their model no longer functions and the forces of change, coupled with their own mismanagement, will topple them. The Sabian Symbol relates to being in the right place at the right time, of knowing when to make a move. This keys into the retrogradation of Uranus and Mercury in that it emphasizes an internal registering, or “knowing” when the time is right. We may not be outwardly projecting, but we are working on things from the inside out first. It involves mental preparation and focus on a vision of the future (Mercury/Uranus) that may exist currently only in the mind, but is the blueprint for what is to come.
