The Daily Astro for June 8, 2012
The Moon remains in Aquarius today, and it trines both Venus and the Sun in Gemini, so it’s a great day for getting in touch with others, socializing, group endeavors that require cooperation, and “hanging out” in general. It might not be so stellar for getting organized, working towards a deadline, or being involved with anything that requires stringent adherence to rules. With the Moon in challenge aspect to Mars in Virgo, we just may not feel like revving up the engines in order to check all those items off our “to do” list today. Take a break today if you can. Mercury trines Neptune at 9:49 PM this evening in water signs; we’re tuned in to the mystic channel, so adjust your receivers accordingly! We may feel a bit “out of focus” but that’s only so we learn to see differently. It’s a good time to explore the worlds of art, music, film, poetry and for all things related to intuition and psychic ability. It’s a day to let loose a little, to give yourself some space and some quiet time for reverie.
Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “ A large archaic volume . ”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “A mountaineer, climbing in the darkness in a violent storm which has blown away his cloak and hat, saved from falling down a precipice by a flash of lightning .”
The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is “Background ”.
The Keyword for the Kozminsky Symbol is “ Interposition ”.
Today’s Symbols are related to accumulated wisdom and timely intervention. The book in the Sabian Symbol is the “collected works” of humanity, a guide and teacher for all who seek information. I like the idea that the volume may be a version of the Akashic Records, a repository of knowledge about every person ever born. It can also relate to good advice, relying on the wisdom of the past, and understanding historical patterns. There’s also a warning not to do everything “by the book”, that at times it’s necessary to break free from the ghosts of the past (The Moon in Aquarius also tells us this.) The Kozminsky Symbol, with its mountaineer climbing in the darkness and ultimately saved by lightning (Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, is often seen as the bolt of illumination). The mountaineer is climbing in the dark, has lost his protection (hat and cloak) and must proceed by instinct and rely on mysterious forces (Mercury trine Neptune) to get himself to safety. The warning here is to keep alert and aware even when we’re more inclined to drift away into the ozone. Both Symbols tell also advise us to be open to moments of magic and synchronicity, where we receive the information we most need in the most unusual way, shape, or form.

Tarot Enhancer/Antidote: 10 of Wands, 10 of Swords
“The Debt is Paid”. Not the jolliest of combinations, but this pair indicates we’ve reached the end of the line and it’s time to use that “get out of jail free” card we’ve been hanging on to. We’re trapped by what we thought would save us, or make us happy, or change our life. But it’s the same old prison after all. We’ve struggled and felt burdened, but now it’s time to let go of our deep-rooted belief that we need to be punished or that we don’t deserve to be free. The dues have been paid, it’s time to change the scenery and move on, because it’s over–the prison door is swinging open, we just have to walk through it. Time for sudden illumination: imagine a bolt of lightning at midnight (Uranus, see astrology and Symbol information above) . What happened in the dark that brought confusion and fear will be revealed and shorn of its menace at last. Look to the time of early Scorpio (late October) to discover what needs to be released and transformed.
