The Daily Astro for May 3, 2012
The Moon’s in “let’s just get along” Libra today, but most of its aspects are jangly or stressful, and we’re gearing up for a Full Moon on Saturday, keeping in balance may be an issue today. As Mercury and Mars are also connecting in a less than harmonious way, don’t let frazzled nerves or emotions tempt you into temper tantrums when things don’t go the way you think they should. With Uranus and Pluto also in the mix, things can be volatile, and acting from a position of anger or resentment could really backfire. Later tonight (11:01 PM EDT), a Mercury/Venus sextile can help us turn on the charm and possibly explain our way out of any quagmires we’ve gotten ourselves into earlier in the day!
Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “Shellfish groping and children playing .”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “A virgin clothed in white, with a bright star above her head, joining the hands of two men about to quarrel .”
The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is “Emergence ” and for the Kozminsky Symbol it’s “ Harmonious Love”.
The Sabian Symbol gives us the feeling of being at a beach, with shellfish twitching away, exploring their environment as they scuttle about, while children enjoy the sand and water. Both are exploring their world in their own way and learning through experience. The Kozminsky Symbol reminds me of the Star card crossed with the High Priestess, as the woman in white attempts to soothe troubled waters through her vision and peace-loving nature. (It’s also what we should do today with the Moon in Libra and all those stress aspects: live up to the higher level of Libra as peacemaker and negotiator between warring factions). If we combine the two symbols, today’s about remembering where we came from (for the shellfish, it’s the sea; for humans, we were formed during childhood), and being open to the grace and purity of that time and remembering to infuse all our actions with love and a desire for the greater good.

Tarot Enhancer/Antidote: Knight of Pentacles/7 of Swords
This combination can tell us that something (or someone) is not what it seems. The 7 of Swords, connected to Venus in Aquarius, can show us it’s difficult to unite the heart and the head, and can, with the Knight of Pentacles, indicate someone who needs grounding in order to figure out what they really feel. It’s a slow process, and all may not be revealed until the person feels fully comfortable with themselves. After we learn to center and ground, we can begin to express the love and concern we feel for the collective (Venus in Aquarius), but it’s hard to project out to the universe when we’re on shaky ground. It can also indicate that we’re undercutting ourselves in a way that can have negative effects on the material or physical levels.
