The Daily Astro for April 23, 2012
Today’s aspects remind me of a movie I was watching last night: “A Stolen Life” with Bette Davis. Davis plays twins–one’s a shy artist, the other’s a bold and predatory socialite type. Shy twin falls for a New England lighthouse engineer; bold twin decides she likes him too, steals him away, marries him, and complications ensue. The Moon is void until it enters double-your-pleasure Gemini (the Twins) today at 1:05 PM EST, bringing a flirty, lively, restless air to the proceedings; after that the Moon squares Neptune (confusion, the fog rolls in). This is the part of the movie where the “bad” twin pretends to be the “good” twin in order to spend quality time with the leading man. By this evening the Sun trines Mars and the Moon squares Mars, so things get kicked up a notch and we feel more bold and confident, ready to try new things and flex our muscles. An infusion of kick-ass energy and some art lessons from a “primal savage” male artist zap the good painter twin with some oomph, finally; then there’s an accident (Moon square Mars): The twins take a boat ride, but “bad” twin misjudges an impending storm and is too bold when she should have returned to shore. All ends well, eventually, for shy artist & her man, after a few twists, turns and the revealing of hidden identities (the upcoming Moon sextile Uranus).
Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “ The rainbow’s pot of gold.”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “The arena of a circus during a night performance, the ringmaster in the centre urging forward the movements of a large white horse galloping around the ring, a lady gymnast standing on the animal’s back holding a hoop of fire . ”
The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is “Faith” and for the Kozminsky Symbol it’s “Intrepidity”.
This combination of Symbols combines the idea of the Sun in Taurus (the “pot of gold”, with bold self-presentation combined with fleet-footedness, agility and lightness–the Moon in Gemini with the Sun trine Mars). It’s time to put ourselves forward boldly now, to be brave and use our talents and skills in order to achieve our goals and enrich ourselves. The rainbow leading to the pot of gold reminds us to “keep the faith” and focus on spiritual values–even if we have to jump through a “flaming hoop” to live up to our promises to ourselves.

Tarot Enhancer/Antidote: 7 of Wands/Page of Pentacles
The 7 of Wands is all about courage and finding your center even when there’s risk, challenge or competition. Like the Kozminsky Symbol, this one’s about going forward with grace and balance even through difficult situations-the right choreography must be found and until we master the dance, it’s a test of faith while we practice those steps. The Page of Pentacles tells us this time (Page of Pentacles is earth and we’re now in Taurus), this spring season, we will see the seeds we’ve planted begin to sprout as growth occurs. Things will happen in the ripeness of time, but we’re making a good start. We see the rainbow leading to the pot of gold: it may seem far off, but it’s a promise for the future.
