The Daily Astro for March 8,  2012

Today’s Full Moon (4:39 AM EST) highlights approximately 19 degrees of Virgo and Pisces.
There’s a long void-of-course period today (the Moon doesn’t move into Libra until 11:50 PM EST tonight), it’s a better time to finish, complete, and finalize than to start anything new for most of the day today. The Virgo/Pisces polarity asks us to display compassion in everyday life, to be helpful and charitable towards others and not let ourselves be trapped by petty details OR get “lost in the ozone”.  With the jangly Mercury-Uranus connection still reverberating in Aries, that might not be the easiest of tasks, as we could be easily irked or distracted. Remember the Grand Trine discussed yesterday–use some of that energy to clear the decks and brainstorm solid ideas for the future. After the Moon enters Libra, partnerships and relationships are highlighted.

This very airy combination popping up on the day of a Full Moon reminds us of the ways improper thought patterns and “imprints” can lead to irrational fears and self-sabotage.  With the Moon in Mercury-ruled Virgo, we can hold ourselves back by being too critical or by not believing we have the ability to escape our limitations, and the Pisces opposition adds a free-floating anxiety that can make us feel we’re drowning.  Sometimes we have to expose ourselves, and admit our fears and vulnerabilities, in order to be free. It’s time to shine a light on the dark areas of our psyches that are holding us hostage.
