The Daily Astro for February 17, 2012
The Moon enters rock-solid Capricorn today and aspects just about everything in the course of the day (Neptune, Uranus, Chiron, Jupiter, Mercury, Pluto and Venus). Early on, we might feel a bit spacey or jittery (and it’ll probably make us feel uneasy rather than inspired). The Moon’s trine with Jupiter at 8:44 AM EST provides a good start for the workday and motivates us to focus on practical matters and getting things done. The Moon/Pluto conjunction and the Moon/Venus square later in the day may trigger some buried memories in an uncomfortably tense way, but it’s also a great time to get to the root of things and understand where some of our compulsions and drives are sourced, so be brave–there’s an element of fearlessness in these aspects if we’re willing to take a good long look in the mirror.
Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “Butterfly emerging from the chrysalis.”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “Forked lightning surrounded by stars amidst storm-clouds.”
Both of these symbols involve change and alteration of form, with a feeling of emergence from one state to another. There’s an emphasis on awakening, of reincarnating oneself from one level or state of being to another, and of being thus in tune with the natural world and understanding our place in it. The energy required to break free from the chrysalis and the energy released in lighting highlight the creative aspects of both of these Symbols–each is “charged” with a form of electricity.
“The Sabian Symbol keyword is “Emanation” and the Kosminsky Symbol keyword is “Debate”.

(See the Symbols above. It’s time for a change! Don’t listen to what others may say or get trapped by inertia or ennui. Don’t stay in stasis too long due to fear or excessive “what if” thoughts. You’re already in process anyway; resisting just makes it harder in the long run.)
