The Daily Astro for May 30, 2012

The Moon enters Libra today at 6:46 AM EDT, and with The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Saturn in air signs, the emphasis is on mental pursuits, communication, and making ourselves understood. That might be tricky today, as the bulk of the aspects formed are challenging. Sun square Chiron shows a need for deep healing, but the Moon/Uranus opposition can send us flying off in unexpected directions, and Mercury in Gemini square Mars in Virgo can make us feel like we need a translator! Everyone seems to be listening in on their own wavelength and cacophony can ensue. Be careful not to pick apart or over-analyze what other people are saying or how they’re communicating, or else you’ll feel the ramifications later this evening as the Moon squares Pluto and forms an inconjunct with Chiron (time to clear out the emotional flotsam and jetsam)! Very late this evening (11:48 PM EDT), the Moon trines the Sun and we may feel we’ve finally integrated the message of this complicated day. Look for hints in your dreams (since the Sun and Moon are both in air signs, your dreams may feature one-on-one relationships or people trying to “connect” with you via mail, email or phone–so do pay attention to what they’re trying to tell you.)

Sabian Symbol for today’s Sun: “ An airplane falling. ”
Kozminsky Symbol for today’s Sun: “ A hospital nurse whose face expresses sympathy and sacrifice, tending a sick man. ”

The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is “Crisis ”.
The Keyword for the Kozminsky Symbol is “Cherishing ”.

This combination makes me think immediately of an airplane crash that results in hospitalization, possibly caused by someone rushing, misreading indicators, or rash actions, which is suggested by Mercury square Mars. The Moon in Libra opposite Uranus in Aries can indicate an error in judgment or an instability that throws things off balance. The Sabian Symbol in its positive aspect shows a desire to throw ourselves into an experience without being crippled by worry, and it also suggests moving in rhythm with the flow of life and learning to deal with crisis situations as they arise. The Kozminsky Symbol illustrates a different kind of crisis, a health crisis, that is being tended to by an empathetic nurse. The two symbols together remind us to remain open to all options and find our bearings while “in flight” through life, and that even in the midst of a crisis or adrenaline-spiking situations, we can find inner calm (the Kozminsky Symbol’s nurse figure).

Tarot Enhancer/Antidote: Queen of Swords/4 of Wands
“The Guardian at the Gate”. The Queen of Swords (air element), has an Aquarian feel, and the 4 also has a “fixed” energy, even in the Wands (fire) suit. This combination tells us it’s time to decide upon our strategy and to draw a step-by-step plan for the future. We’re in a protected space, our mind is clear, and we can “rally the forces” from a place of strength. There’s a stillness to this combination, but it’s purposeful stillness, radiating from a calm central core and buttressed by solid support.
