TODAY’S ASPECTS:

The Moon’s in Sagittarius today and the vibe is free and easy. It’s one of those “gestate some ideas” days, really. The Moon trines Uranus in Aries at 1:55 AM EDT, so if you are/were by chance awake, you’d feel like dancing around in your underwear or something. Since most of us here in the U.S. are in ZZZZ-land at that time, maybe we were all dreaming about traveling in spaceships or masterminding a big ol’ revolution. In any case, we “need our space” today and don’t feel like being crowded.  It’s a “happy as Keith Richards on tour” day.  (Richards is a Sagittarius with his Sun trine Sagittarius’ ruling planet, Jupiter).  The Sun/Moon sextile at 12:31 PM EDT makes for an easy flow of conversation; take some time off and have a pleasant lunch with friends or co-workers. Toss around some ideas, make some plans for the future.

The Moon inconjuncts Jupiter at 5:03 PM EDT, so drama queens and kings need to blow off some steam. Beside advice: take advantage of the Sagittarius/Jupiter urge to roll on down the highway. Scoot the hell out of the way when you hear ’em braying that “you just won’t BE-LIEEEEEEVE” what happened to them (yet again).   Jupiter gets back in the groove with a sextile to Ceres at 5:34 PM EDT, so it’s time to take care of everyone (that includes yourself). What nourishes your spirit and makes you feel fully alive?  Go do that. And hang around with people who give off a positive charge.

THE SYMBOLS:

Sabian Symbol for today’s SUN:  “A retired sea captain. ”

Kozminsky Symbol for today’s SUN:   A beautifully-formed foot rising from a haze of colour-waves.”  (Influence is: NEPTUNE.)

The Keyword for the Sabian Symbol is:  “ RELAXATION.”

The Keyword for the Kozminsky Symbol is: “SENSIBILITY.”

OK, the Kozminsky Symbol, a giant foot, reminds me of the British comedy troupe Monty Python and brings in a surreal element to the day’s goings-on. Pisces rules the feet and this symbol is connected to Pisces. Hazy water color waves sound kinda psychedelic too, so more Neptune. With today’s Jupiterian influence (Moon in Sagittarius plus Jupiter aspects), things can “go big”. The foot = movement, and through the waves = inspiration, so it’s time to hit the road with some new ideas.  This symbol relates to artistic ability combined with artistry (melding the useful and the beautiful). It’s artistic, sensual and spiritual melding into an image of grace in action. Today’s inspirations lead to tomorrow’s inventions. Remember to put your “best foot forward”. It’s time to stop daydreaming and take action.

The Sabian Symbol is also Neptunian (sea, sea captains, the concept of retirement as moving into a form of seclusion or “out of the fray”). Imagine Keith Richards if he ever decides to get off the stage and sit around with his dangly hairstuff and pirate headscarf.  The Old Pirate hangs up the sword, but keeps flying the Jolly Roger. This Symbol says we’ve worked hard enough and now it’s time to take a break. It relates to cycles, ending and new beginnings, completing your “tour of duty” honorably and gaining time for reflection and rest. It can indicate we’re looking through our scrapbooks, indulging in a little nostalgia, or fondly remembering events from the past. Maybe we’re singing sea chanteys and belting back some grog. It’s about learning from experience, receiving honors or awards, being recognized for your abilities and basking in memories of your triumphs. Ont he down side, it can indicate being dragged back into or living in the past, excusing or justifying yourself because of something that happened long ago, obsessing over things others have long forgotten, or thinking you don’t have to do anything ever again because you’ve ‘been there, done that”. Beware of rigidity and living in the past. This Symbol reminds me of the Wheel card in the tarot, the completion of a cycle, where we begin to understand the “why” of things and are able to trace the patterns that brought us to the present.

THE DAILY DRAW

“Ace of Cups / Hermit “

“The Channel”

This pair’s about accessing wisdom and opening the heart.  Ace of Cups is about beginnings and the Hermit takes us through to the end, the recycle point. It’s about learning to appreciate what we have to offer and fully valuing ourselves. As we open up, we discover an endless source of compassion and love. We learn to be alone (and yearn to be alone).  It’s the path of the initiate and it must be walked alone. Accessing the font of wisdom or the Akashic records. Wisdom from ancient sources. Being at home with ourselves. Inner peace through solitude or meditation. Going underground or beneath the surface to find answers. The harvest of love. Watering the garden to produce beautiful flowers or a bountiful harvest. Learning about the limits of love in order to refine our sensibilities. Rebirth, reincarnation, coming back again. Clairaudience–being silent in order to really hear. Achieving true understanding in the later years of your life. Balancing the Pisces/Virgo polarity (like Kozminsky’s foot symbol), being helpful and spiritual at the same time. Going to a retreat, spa or healing center. Realizing what your mission is.
